  • Surf, chat, stream and share faster than ever. 25 Mbps is over 3X faster than typical DSL service.
  • Info & entertainment for the whole family— enjoy internet on multiple devices at once without additional equipment.
  • Stream HD video faster.

Viasat with Boost 25 speed is the fastest home satellite internet service available in the U.S.

No other satellite internet provider is currently providing speeds this fast for use at home.

Viasat with Boost 25 is the fastest service we’ve ever offered.

Our original WildBlue service started at 1.5 Mbps. We revolutionized satellite internet when we began offering 12 Mbps download speeds with Exede in 2012. Now, just three years later, we’re offering 25 Mbps speeds with Boost 25. It’s just a hint of what’s to come with our future Viasat satellites, when we’ll offer faster speeds nationwide.

Wireless Router

Another great feature of the Viasat WiFi Modem is that the wireless router is built right in, so you don’t have to buy a separate device. In addition, since the WiFi Modem is an official Viasat product, we’ll offer technical support for it.

Router features

  • Selectable dual band frequency 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz connections
  • Supports Wi-Fi types 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Wireless security: Supports WPS, WEP and WPA security standards
  • Guest network capability
  • Basic parental controls

The router built into the WiFi Modem reduces clutter on your desk or shelf and makes creating a Wi-Fi network in your home a snap. The integrated router allows you to connect multiple devices to your Viasat service: including computers, tablets, smartphones, TVs and connected-home devices like thermostats and security cameras.

What’s Inside the Viasat WiFi Modem

  1. Modem. This is the primary device you need for your Viasat Internet service. The modem connects to the satellite dish on the outside of your home via a coaxial cable. This new modem supports download speeds of up to 25 Mbps.
  2. Wireless Router. A router is what enables you to share your service among multiple connected devices. Instead of a stand-alone unit that requires a cable between the router and modem, this router is built into the Viasat WiFi Modem, and it enables you to create a Wi-Fi network in your home.
  3. Voice Adapter. If you have home phone service with Voice, you no longer need a separate adapter to connect to your phone or base station — it’s included in the modem. If you don’t have our home phone service, the Voice Adapter is ready to go if you ever decide you’d like to add it.
  4. 4-port Gigabit Ethernet router. If you prefer to connect your computers, laptops or other devices with an Ethernet cable, the Viasat WiFi Modem has 4 ports available. Gigabit Ethernet means that when you are transferring files, they’ll transfer as fast as a gigabit per second between compatible devices.
