Owner Chad Owens was born and raised in the area, and attended Barnwell High School in the late ’90s. He’s been working in the communications business for more than 17 years. Chad started his career in 1998 as a technician for a cable company. In 2001, he discovered the satellite industry, working on commercial systems. Owens then became a supervisor with MasTec, one of DIRECTV’s largest installation and services companies. He left MasTec in 2012 to start Williston Custom Installations.
Williston Custom Installations is proud to offer broadband internet from Viasat. Viasat brings high-speed internet service to rural areas like ours in which no comparable options exist. In southwestern South Carolina, its speeds are very comparable to those provided by local cable companies.
Viasat offers residents and small business owners super-fast internet speeds beamed directly to their location from space, providing download speeds up to 25 Mbps. All Viasat plans feature fast speeds, with a variety of data options available to suit your online lifestyle. You can also save money by adding Voice, which typically costs a lot less than landlines from most phone companies.
Call us today and let’s plan your Viasat installation together.
Williston is a town of about 3,200 in South Carolina’s Barnwell County. The town is at the center of the Charleston-Bamberg railroad line. The train tracks were removed in the 1990s, but the site has been designated historically significant by the South Carolina Department of Archives. Williston owes much of its early development to the railroad built there in the early 1800s. Today, Williston is home to several industries, including vending machine manufacturer Dixie Narco and automotive belt producer the Dayco Corporation. The small community has a high school, middle and elementary schools. It’s a quick drive from Aiken, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia.
