Viasat (formerly Exede) satellite internet provides high-speed service at low cost, allowing rural and small-town residents and businesses to stay connected. Viasat’s many satisfied customers aren’t the only ones who’ve experienced it; it’s rated number one by the FCC two years in a row for delivering advertised speeds or higher. About Powell, Wyoming

Powell is a tight-knit town of about 6,300 people about 75 miles east of Yellowstone National Park, and the home of Northwest College. Construction of the Buffalo Bill Dam in the early 1900s helped establish the community. With readily available water in this otherwise dry climate, agriculture sprang up as the driving economic force and remains so today. Recognized as a progressive community, it was designated an All American City in 1994. Its small-town atmosphere, the can-do spirit and old-fashioned values of its residents give Powell an increasingly rare high quality of life. Powell demonstrated its strong sense of community in 2011; when the town’s department store closed, residents came together to raise $400,00 and establish the community-owned Powell Mercantile.
