Hot Springs, Arkansas is home of Hot Springs National Park. This waters of this popular tourist attraction are believed to contain medicinal wonders. The springs were legendary among Native American tribes, and became federally protected in 1832. Home to about 35,000 people, the city’s population swells with tourists who flock here for the hot springs and other attractions, including its scenic location in the Ouachita Mountains. Natural thermal water flows from 47 springs on the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain in historic downtown.
