About Lavalette, West Virginia

Modern Home Technologies is located in Lavalette, W.V., the area in which the movie about the rebuilding of a legendary football team, “We Are Marshall,” is based. It is also the home of national recording artist Kelly Ray Davis. Our small town is home to about 1,100 people who enjoy boating and fishing at Beech Fork Lake and Twelvepole Creek, and golfing at our two public courses. Our unusual name comes from the daughter of an official with the Norfolk & Western Railway, Lavalette Miller.
