Proud to offer the best satellite internet: Viasat

As the only Viasat Elite dealer throughout all of Iowa and Nebraska, Johnston Communications is proud to offer Viasat’s high-quality internet and knowledge-based customer service for residents of Montgomery County, Polk County, North West Missouri, and the eastern half of Nebraska. Viasat Internet is powered by one of the highest-capacity communications satellites ever launched, and it provides all subscribers incredibly fast internet beamed directly to the subscriber’s location. Viasat Internet is available where many other internet services are not. Viasat is an excellent solution for those in our area who are suffering from slow internet — we highly recommend switching from DSL or dial-up to Viasat satellite internet. You can also save money by adding Viasat Voice, which typically costs much less than phone company landlines.

Try before you buy:  If you’re unfamiliar with the power of satellite internet, or if you’ve been suffering with slow internet for years and think you’ll never get high-speed service in your area, please give us a call. We can tell you all about Viasat. Better yet, pop by our showroom and let us give you a live demonstration of how much better your internet service can be.

About Villisca, Iowa

Villisca is located in Montgomery County, Iowa and has an approximate population of 1,250.  The town is most notable for its historic mixture of mystery and patriotism; it draws in tourists to visit the scene of eight unsolved axe murders that occurred in 1912. Despite their grisly nature, Villisca embraces the unsolved murders as an opportunity for tourism and the scene of history by creating a museum at the scene of the crimes. The other side of the town’s history reflects deep patriotism: Tourists are drawn to the memorialized setting of the Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph, “The Homecoming” which captured a WWII veteran greeting his wife and daughter in the streets of the small town.

About West Des Moines

Our second location is in West Des Moines, located in Polk County, Iowa. Originally only a destination for trade, the city of West Des Moines was incorporated Oct. 9, 1893. The city has been recognized by several national publications and a metro-wide publication as a great place to live and conduct business.  Evidencing this, the town has grown from a population of 46,403 to 56,609 in just 10 years.  A famous site in West Des Moines is The Jordan House, a restored Victorian mansion that was the home of James Jordan, the founder of Valley Junction (the town later renamed as West Des Moines).  In the mid-1800s, the preserved home was a station on the Underground Railroad.  Today, it serves as a museum for the City of West Des Moines and the office of the Des Moines Historical Society.
