A locally owned satellite TV and Internet company

At Global Comm, we focus on providing internet and video services with the highest level of customer satisfaction. Our company started with cable television services in 1999, and has since become a leader in equipment installation and systems integration services. We added DIRECTV and Dish Network to our family of products in 2000. In 2005, we brought Viasat (formerly Exede) on board. Our reputation has endured over time because of our commitment to our core values, our responsiveness to customers and our ability to adapt to fast-changing technology and markets. Our relationship with our customers is defined by the quality of our work and positive  interactions we have with them. Viasat: Reliable, high-speed internet regardless of where you live

Couple Using Exede Internet

Global Comm is proud to offer broadband internet from Viasat. Viasat has been a vital part of our business, allowing us to serve rural areas in which no other comparable options exist. Viasat is an excellent product due to the speeds it produces and the ability to provide our customers with excellent service.

Viasat offers residents and small business owners super-fast internet speeds beamed directly to their location from space with download speeds up to 25 Mbps. All Viasat plans feature fast speeds, with different data options available depending on your online lifestyle. You can also save money by adding Viasat Voice, which typically costs a lot less than landlines from most phone companies.

To find out what plans are available in your area, visit Viasat.com and type in your zip code. Then give us a call and we’ll plan your installation together.

About Asher, Oklahoma

With just roughly 400 residents, Asher is a closely knit community with about 160 homes. It’s a short drive from the much larger communities of Ada and Shawnee, Oklahoma. Asher is named for George Asher, who in 1892 purchased land in what was then the Oklahoma Territory to build his farm home. Asher supplied land for the town with the condition it be named after him. Ironically, he never lived there. Cotton was the main industry in Asher until oil was discovered in 1927, fueling Asher’s biggest boom. Banks, barber shops, hotels, a theater, jewelry and drug stores all were built to support those who flocked there for oil, and the town prospered. Asher’s population dwindled when the  oil boom ended and a state highway was diverted around the town. Asher still boasts an independent pre-K to 12 school district, and has a well-earned reputation for winning baseball teams. With farming as an enduring economic influence, it also has active 4-H and FFA chapters.
