Cellular Etc was established in 2008 by New York natives Art and Jennifer Campbell. The company started by selling wireless accessories, then expanded to offer pre-paid wireless plans, opening their current State Street storefront in 2010. Today, they sell and install Dish Network, DIRECTV and Viasat Internet (formerly Exede Internet) and carry certified refurbished, new, and used cellular phones for all carriers.
The Campbell’s business was founded on the philosophy of always keeping the community and customer in mind. Art and Jennifer live that philosophy as members of the Carthage Chamber of Commerce and supporters of local causes, including the VEM Food Pantry.
Art brings to the business eight years of experience in the cell phone industry, coupled with a master’s degree in education from SUNY Potsdam. Jennifer has five years of experience and a bachelors degree from SUNY Oswego.
Cellular Etc is proud to offer broadband internet from Viasat. Viasat brings reliable, high-speed internet service to areas in which no comparable options exist. And Viasat’s Liberty Plan means data caps are virtually non-existent.
Viasat offers residents and small business owners super-fast internet speeds beamed directly to their location from space, providing download speeds up to 25 Mbps. All Viasat plans feature fast speeds, with a variety of data options available to suit your online lifestyle.

Carthage is a village of about 4,000 people located on the Black River in northern New York. Incorporated in 1841, Carthage lost many of its original buildings during major fires in 1861 and 1884. Several of its most predominant buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The village boasts a hospital, senior bus service, beautiful parks, extensive trails and a busy summer recreation program. With a low crime rate, higher than average per-student funding, scenic surroundings and peaceful quality of life, Carthage is a great place to live and raise a family.
