MYCELX is a patented polymeric surfactant technology. MYCELX instantly bonds to hydrocarbons thus removing them permanently from a water stream.
The MYCELX Compound · MYCELX is the synthesis product of a reaction between a natural drying or semi-drying oil and various methacrylate esters. · MYCELX products instantly bond pollutants (whether water semi-soluble or insoluble) to their surfaces and prevent the contamination from separating, emulsifying, and releasing. · Another significant characteristic of MYCELX is its ability to not create a differential pressure while removing pollutants. A totally saturated MYCELX filter will create about .5 psi of pressure differential to the system, ensuring that the flow is not stopped. |

MYCELX technology infused into filter cartridges is designed to remove hydrocarbons ranging from BTEX to crude oil, sheen, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, organic solvents, pesticides & biocides, and organically bound metals from water or wastewater. Patented MYCELX technology allows the cartridges to permanently remove the pollutants in a single pass with less than 1 psi of pressure differential (even when saturated). |
